Cava dell'Isola
A hidden cove between the rocks, deep crystal-clear water, an easy-going atmosphere. Bring a mask: the seabed is worth it.
Our tip: Rock shoes: they feel like overcaution until the moment they are not.
Maronti, by the Fumarole
Three kilometres of fine sand, the island's longest beach. In the Fumarole area the volcano heats the sand from beneath, and your towel stays warm into the evening.

The questions we're asked most
These are the same answers we give every day on the phone and over WhatsApp. We've gathered them here so you can take your time before booking.
We're at Via Rotaro 38, on the hillside of Casamicciola Terme. High enough that the gulf and Monte Epomeo sit right in front of you from the pool and the sea-view rooms; close enough to reach the thermal springs, the beaches and the town centre in a few minutes. It's also why, up here, you don't hear the seafront in the evening.
Ferries and hydrofoils run to Ischia Porto and Casamicciola from Naples (Molo Beverello or Calata Porta di Massa) and from Pozzuoli. Tell us in advance and we'll arrange a shuttle from the port to the hotel. You won't need a car: beaches and thermal parks are a few minutes away by bus or taxi. If you do bring one, parking is free — just mention it when you book, as spaces are limited.
It sits in the garden with the fountain and the statues, looking towards the mountains — it's where most afternoons end up. With eleven rooms in total, nobody is left without a sunbed even in the busiest weeks. It's free for guests, and there's no background music: what you hear is the water.
It isn't included in the rate, and it's fair to say so upfront: it's added separately. Those who take it find fresh local produce, and the ease of starting the day without walking down into town. You can add it when you book or decide once you've arrived — a word at reception is enough.
Casamicciola is the island's thermal heart: the best-known springs and parks are minutes away, with or without a car. The climb up Monte Epomeo, the round of the beaches and evenings at Ischia Ponte below the Aragonese Castle all start from here.
